I'm an Amateur Extra class located in the Morgantown PA Area.  Primarily I operate on the 2 meter and 70cm bands with an interest in the various digital modes of operation. My background is an engineer focused on data communication.

Future Plans

I'm fortunate to live on a relatively high mountain (875') and have not had an issue hitting a VHF repeaters 50 miles away with a handheld and stock antenna.  At present, there are no outdoor antenna's in use -- strictly a handheld.

My future plans are to purchase a HF radio and install an outdoor antenna that both performs well, but also that conforms to the requirements of "the true Control Operator" ;-)
